News8Austin reports that a tanker carrying chlorine is leaking fumes on Hwy 290 near Springdale Rd:
People who live in the neighborhood north of the intersection should seal themselves in their home, and turn off their air conditioners, or leave the neighborhood in their own cars via Ferguson Road.Symptoms of exposure are burning eyes and difficulty breathing.

I can attest to that. It totally f'ed up my commute. It might be cleared up by now, but as of 30 minutes ago, eastbound 290 was blocked at 183, which resulted in longer than usual waits for the people travelling north on 183. It's already bad enough in that area because of the construction on FM 969 between Decker Ln. and 183 which has both directions down to one lane. Grr.
On the bright side, it looks like they're nearly finished with 183 so, with any luck, we soon won't have to sit a the light at Cameron Rd. anymore.
