The Founding Dudes are bringing their Lebowski Fest to Austin be enjoyed by all of you captial-area Achievers. Started in Kentucky 2002 as a way to celebrate all things Lebowski, it has continued across the United States and will be in our fair city this weekend. Get your costumes ready and your bowling arm in shape, because it's going to be a lot of fun.

Lebowski Fest cannot be contained in only one day, after all it is a Fest. Day one kicks off the event with a concert at Maggie Mae's Friday night. Start by getting your music groove on with a concert by The Yuppie Pricks, Autobahn, and The Recliners. Following that is a midnight screening of the film itself with a special appearance by "Big" Lew Abernathy, one of the original inspirations for Walter Sobchak. To answer your question, we're not sure if he can get you a toe either.

Saturday night the Fest is tied together with the second half at Highland Lanes. General admission bowling all night, along with amazing costumes and trivia contests. "Big" Lew will be in attendance again, we're not sure if the real Walter can bowl on Saturday or not. It will be an event not to be missed, previous Fests have been a rocking good time. Pull that valkyrie costume out of the closet and head on down to the lanes.
