Film Preview: Catch Some Dirty Ho At The Alamo

Ever wonder what that odd title logo was at the start of Kill Bill? The answers will all be revealed tomorrow night at the Drafthouse's "Heroic Grace" series. The ongoing series spotlights the best films of the Shaw Brothers, a landmark studio that produced some of the best martial arts films ever made.
Tomorrow is your only chance to catch Dirty Ho, a 1979 film starring Gordon Liu as an "incognito prince sampling some of the finer things his kingdom has to offer...while keeping his mastery of kung fu a secret*." The Drafthouse has actually shipped some great original prints in from China for your viewing pleasure, so don't miss your chance to have a pint and watch some serious 70's ass kicking. Besides that, nothing beats rolling into work on Friday and casually mentioning that you caught a little Dirty Ho last night. It's just too much.
Dirty Ho screens one time only - tomorrow (Thursday) @ Alamo Drafthouse Downtown at 7pm. Admission is $8 ($6.50 AFS members). Quote via AFS newsletter. Photo via the Drafthouse website.
