* We know these guys are hyped, but we've seen them, and it wasn't pleasant. Listen to the songs before you buy a ticket and decide for yourself.
**Austinist loved INXS back in high school, but that CBS show was pretty damn sad. Also, they have picked Scott Stapp from Creed as an opening act. Yes, from Creed. Austinist recommends skipping this show, even if someone hands you a comp ticket or something.
^ These shows have been announced for weeks, but never seem to go on sale. Austinist hopes that these dates are legit, as we'd like to see both of them.

you must check out the DCist Stapp experience, where, indeed, there were free tickets being given out - actually, taped to the club door.

Oh man, I'd LOVE to see Scott Stapp. You're just jealous of his hunkiness - and the fact that he got to see Kid Rock's wang in person. No wait...that's me.

Why don't you like Be Your Own Pet? I saw them, too, but I thought they rocked hard in a totally spastic way. Yeah, she won't win any vocal competitions but she's not trying to perform an aria. I actually didn't like them as much UNTIL I saw them live. So, yeah, my $0.02
