Better Than Kiss Alive III, For Reals

SCOTS-1.jpeg

19958809262_lg.jpgDouble Wide and Live is the latest release from the venerable champions of rock-a-hillbilly, Southern Culture on the Skids (SCOTS). This one-disc captures the raucous, sister-kissin' vibe that SCOTS shows are known for, sans the tossed fried chicken and/or flung banana pudding.

Double Wide showcases the guitar virtuosity of Rick Miller, while bassist Mary Huff and never-seated drummer Dave Hartman keep the rhythm tight. Tracks like "Meximelt" prove that Rick Miller is Dick Dale in overalls, while the disc's closer "Whole Lotta Things" is a perfect example of the group's flawless vocal harmony. We dare you to play "Liquored Up" in your living room and not want to throw an impromptu sweat-stained sock hop. This one's a winner folks, pick it up as soon as you can.
