Tomorrow night over at the Beauty Bar, Austinist has teamed up with our friends over at Car Stereo (Wars) and Learning Secrets to bring you the official Listening Party for the new record by superstar UK rapper The Streets. The Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living (VICE) follows up the adorably adroit Mike Skinner's hugely successful first two albums, Original Pirate Material and A Grand Don't Come for Free, both which shocked us with their disarmingly honest glimpses into the rather mundane life of a gritty, "street-level" Londoner.

Quoth Skinner on the trappings of fame, which finds itself the subject matter of his latest album:

"When you start to get recognized at a certain level", Skinner explains, "everyone begins to behave really differently around you. And it's like you've been given these x-ray specs which help you see your own and everyone else's flaws much too clearly. And you come out of it thinking 'We're all fucked! We're all doomed!' But in a way that ultimately gives you a new lease of passion for humanity, which isn't the naivety that you had before, it's more like 'everyone's a c*nt, but I love 'em.'"

We'll be spinning selected tracks from The Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living along with the usual assortment of dance-party tunes, starting at 10pm until they kick us out at closing time.
