Kid Koala @ Red 7 This Thursday

UPDATE: The Kid Koala show has been cancelled for undisclosed reasons.

If you've lived in Canada, as we have, you know that its chief export is musical awesomeness. Don't believe us? You can either look it up on Wikipedia, or head down to Red 7 this Thursday night to catch Montreal's favorite DJ, Kid Koala.

If you don't know Kid (AKA Eric San), he's the three-turntabled, seven-handed* DJ dynamo behind Gorillaz, Deltron 3030, Lovage, Handsome Boy Modeling School and Bullfrog - and he's probably the only turntablist to successfully mash Bjork with Slayer. For reals.

Kid's live show is equal parts goofy fun, dancable jams and warp-speed scratching; we highly recommend you go check it out. Don't worry - you should have plenty of time afterward to see Ceeplus and Prince Klassen tear up the Beauty Bar.

The show is still listed in a dozen places, but is now conspicuously absent from Kid's myspace page. I tried calling Red 7, but I'm also just getting the fax noise. I'm considering faxing them.....

the show has been postponed. I've tried getting advance tickets with 3 Frontgateticket locations, and none of them have Kid Koala at Red 7, and Red 7's phone goes straight to the annoying fax screech.
