Jumping Off Bridges & Rescue Me, Together in San Marcos

Ms. Kat Candler's most recent effort, Jumping Off Bridges, fresh from its premiere at SXSW, has another screening at the Alkek Theater in San Marcos Friday, April 21st.

In this next long sentence we would like to tell you that in addition to Jumping Off Bridges you can also view Rescue Me, a documentary by fellow Storie Productions principle, Stacy Schoolfield. According to their website, in Rescue Me, "profiles of animal rescue volunteers raise the question of how much impact can one person make and at what cost?"

So, folks, you can help support a local fillmmaker and local fillmmaking in general AND get behind animal rescue. Did you know that in Texas alone thousands of cats and dogs have to be put down every year? Thousands! The effort to stop pet overpopulation and get more people to adopt from shelters is a noble one.
