Saturday Night: Peel, For Real

peelsmall.jpg

This Saturday night, Peel will be sharing some stage with The Happy Bullets (Oak Cliff, TX), Caspian (by way of Boston), and This Will Destroy You (San Marcos – holla!) at Beerland. All we have to say is: Peel better play Oxford, because that song is the total shit.

It also appears that hometown playas, Peel, are working with Peek a Boo Records (see their profile here). Rumor has it that they already self-produced a promo of sorts, which will be “available” at Beerland (we’re guessing that “available” translates to “for sale”, because even bands need to eat). We like promos because they’re limited in number, and usually unique. But the Peek-a-Boo Records thing is totally legit. They’ve been kickin’ it at the P-a-B studios for a bit now. Probably working on an official album which will see a mass release in the very near future. Or perhaps they’re crafting a card castle, composed chiefly of Garbage Pail Kids trading cards. Maybe they’re just playing shitloads of Boggle whilst painting each other’s toe nails.

But they better be recording. An album is much more important than a fine pedicure.
