Fun and Fitness in the Fair Perfect!! Weather

This is one of those weekends when were are so grateful to be living in Austin. Don't be surprised if we share this sentiment often. It's one of those weekends when there is so much to do, we feel really guilty for even thinking about staying inside. As usually is the case in Austin, the weather is going to be wonderful to be outside. Yeah, we're sleeping in the hammock tonight, after all of our day activities!

Endorsed by Kristin Armstrong, Fertile Hope is a non-profit organization that helps cancer patients deal with the side effect of becoming infertile. The Fertile Hope 5K is a great way to support this group. The race begins and ends at Maudie's on Lake Austin Blvd. on Saturday morning and you'll even get free breakfast tacos.

Appropriately being held the same weekend as the Swamp Romp and Crawfish Festival, late Sunday afternoon, the Crocodile Run Kids K and Concert is sure to wear the kids out if they're not already! Joe Scruggs kicks-off the event which is sure to be fun!

Also on Sunday, the Tough Cookie Women's Duathlon and Kids Race takes place in Copperas Cove. The Tough Cookies have a mission to promote healthy and active lifestyles for women, so naturally, the race benefits GenAustin which helps to empower young girls to make wise choices.

We hope that you make it out this weekend. Even a walk in the Barton Creek Greenbelt is guaranteed to make you feel good!
