Our ears are still ringing and our calves are still aching, but it has been a few weeks since the binge fest that was SXSW left our fine city. That means it’s about time for another music festival. Wall of Sound, an indie rock extravaganza with a pleasantly heavy emphasis on Texas bands, is taking place Saturday and Sunday in Ft. Worth. Yeah, it’s a bit of a hike, and they take the Lone Star philosophy a bit too seriously, but the lineup of is worth it. Saturday features indie rock godfathers Low and David Bazan from Pedro the Lion along with awesome Austinites Single Frame, AM Syndicate and The Black Angels. Sunday is even better, with Okkervil River, Barusk sweethearts Starlight Mints, What Made Milwaukee Famous, stellar post punkers Black Tie Dynasty and two of our favorite young Austin bands, The Arm and The Lord Henry. It's an unbelievable deal for only $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Even with the drive, how can you say no?
