GRITS Rollerboogie: This Friday Night

AHHHHHHHHHH YEAH! Rollerboogie returns! The Young Adorable, Daetron Vargas, and New Berlin (Teleport Door) will be slappin’ wax while you’re criss-crossin’ and reversin’ like: straight out of Xanadu or some shit.

We’ve posted about this before, and we cannot stress it enough: Parties Like This In Austin Need To Be Celebrated. Really, there’s nothing more that needs to be stressed here.

But we’ll stress it a bit more, just for shits n’ giggles. That, and we really like the concept behind the math: dance/disco + roller skates + hip flask = more fun than the time your uncle got drunk at Easter and passed out in the back bathtub, naked, for two days, and no one noticed he was missing until he stumbled out and ate a bowl of frosted flakes while sitting on the kitchen floor. Still naked.

Man, that was hilarious, wasn’t it? Sure was!

So they’re doing their thing again, this month. Roller Boogie! Couple skate, goddamnit! Now reverse it! Time to run a train!

Okay. That last one might not be appropriate for your delicate ears/sensibilities, as there’s a “double-intention” present, but you get the idea: fun will be had at the roller rink. With or without you. And no-one likes to live without.

So put down that shoe shine box and cut to the skates. Like, pronto. Like, tomorrow.
