Even the Baby Armadillos are Coming Out to Play

There are so many great outdoor activities going on this weekend; we hope that you can find time to enjoy as many of them as possible.

On Saturday, UT is playing host to the 10th annual Running of the Horns 5k. This event kicks off the annual 40 Acres Fest, celebrating the diverse interests of the gigantuan UT student body.

Amidst the weekend of activity, even the kids are invited to join in. Also on Saturday morning, the Junior Dillo Kids Run will take place at Auditorium Shores. The 1-mile or 1/2-mile course is geared for the kids and every child who participates gets an award.

Speaking of pigs kids pigs, the 28th Annual Spamarama is on Saturday, too! For the cook-off portion, think what would you make if spoiled ham potted meat was all you had in your pantry. Uh huh. Well, there's going to be live music and the ever-popular Spamolympics- quite possibly the only time it is ok to throw Spam.

We will certainly need to work-off the Saturday gorging ourselves on Spam.

For us bigger kids, the Austin American Statesman Capitol 10,000 is on Sunday morning, finally! Now we know spring is here! It's going to be fun, festive, and downright the most crazy 6 miles ever! The course is challenging- but keep in mind, the less you wear, the better tan you'll get!
