More on the AMD-S.O.S. Feud/Soap Opera

A ruling in the S. O. S. lawsuit against the City of Austin (see our post from February) should be announced later today. AMD fully believes that the city will hold its own in this legal feud and hasn't held off on construction of the new facility.

Last week we received a mailing from AMD about how wonderful their project in South Austin is going to be for everybody. We admit to tossing it in our recycling pile. Usually we have no problem with AMD (they did a lot for our high school, if we remember correctly), but this whole thing seems shady.

  • AMD = pantloads. This is happening solely because Ruiz (CEO) has a home in the Barton Creek Country Club. They've been misrepresenting the facts about employee commutes this whole time - which really pisses me off.

Rumor has it that someone just neglected to submit the right paperwork in time.
