This Week's New Movie Releases!

Just a quick one today, kids. Hang in there, SXSW is almost over.

*V for Vendetta
Yes, it screened at SXSW two whole days ago, and now it’s out in theatres for all the little people to see. Despite her uncanny resemblance to a 12-year-old boy, Nat Portman is the shit. (link may be NSFW)

*Neil Young: Heart of Gold
Jonathan Demme’s documentaryish thing chronicling two days of Neil Young’s concerts at the famous Ryman Auditorium. Young performs some never-before-heard songs. Fans rejoice.

She’s the Man
Another teen movie very, very, very loosely based on a Shakespeare play. We think Amanda Bynes is totally adorable, so we’re praying she’s not just one Lohan shy of a coke habit. Stay strong, Amanda!

*Austinist recommends. We also recommend these first runs: Brokeback Mountain, Capote, Chronicles of Narnia, Dave Chappelle’s Block Party, Good Night and Good Luck, The Matador, Match Point, Munich, Syriana, Walk the Line
