Zach Scott Can't Get Laid!

It’s all right. You’re not the only one, which means you’re (probably) not a loser.
As the elder amongst you may remember, HBO once produced a smash hit series based on characters who were so ridiculously self-conscious and self-obsessed that they failed at every relationship they tried – well into their 30s. Those Manhattan-sipping social misfits may have been relegated to cable, but never fear – someone has written a new play about the exact same thing!
Bad Dates, next on tap at the Zach Scott Theatre , is, indeed, being marketed to Sex and the City fans. This sort of thing normally makes us wanna vom, but the play just happens to be written by Theresa Rebeck. She co-wrote last year’s smash hit Omnium Gatherum, which was one of the best-written new plays we’ve seen in a long time. To surmise, this lady kicks butt, and we think anything she’s involved in is probably worth your nickel. (Plus, the main character in the story is from Austin, so, you know…)
