Jon Stewart + Oscars + A Billion People = World Peace

ocscar.jpg

You might feel lost and confused and out of place in this conservative, W voting, war loving society (well, half of it), but just remember this next time you are thinking about a one way ticket to Canada: Jon Stewart is hosting the Oscars! Y'all, did you hear us? Jon Stewart! Something has to be right in the world.

jonstewart.jpgWe don't pretend to be experts, but our predictions are:
Best Actor: Philip Seymour Hoffman
Best Actress: Reese Witherspoon
Best Supporting Actor: George Clooney
Best Supporting Actress: Michelle Williams
Best Director: Ang Lee
Writing Adapted: Capote
Writing Original: The Squid and the Whale
Best Picture: Brokeback Mountain

And please don't blame it on us if you lose your party's oscar pick contest. Now get your chips and queso and your bowl of cheap alcholic punch and get ready for some Jonny. (God, please let him make fun of Tom Cruise! Oh please, please, pretty please).

What: The Academy Awards
Day: Sunday, March 5th
Time: 7pm

Michelle Williams winning an Oscar = doubtful. But wouldn't that be funny? The first Dawsons' alum to win an Oscar.

Rachel Weisz all the way, baby!

As the biggest Jon Stewart fan ever, I've taken a look at what the planets have to say about Jon's hosting the Oscars tonight: http://astrodynamics.blogspot.com/2006/03/presenting-oscars-jon-stewart.html.
