As everyone knows, this weekend is the big one before Mardi Gras! We're so excited we can hardly contain ourselves. Our shirts are going to stay on, but we're willing to do "other" things to earn beads. We'll even kiss another girl, indulge on colorful mixed drinks, make out with random strangers, run a few miles.
St. Gabriel's School is hosting their 4th Annual Mardi Gras 5K Run and Walk tomorrow. It's an afternoon run through the gorgeous Hill Country and starts at 4:30, so you've got plenty of time to nurse the hangover you're going to work on tonight.
Online registration has ended, but you can still register at Runtex on Riverside and at St. Gabriel's before the race.

If the 5K on Saturday isn't going to be any sort of challenge to your athletic ability, perhaps consider the Dirty Du Duathlon. The second of a series, the Dirty Du #2 is at Flat Rock Ranch and includes a 15 mile mountain bike course flanked by (2) 4-mile trail runs.
We're so there...to watch...with a handkerchief...to wipe the drool off of our mouths...
Online registration is closed for this race, but you can register late at Bicycle Sport Shop on Lamar or at the Ranch the day of the event.
