Local band The Paper South has finished their much anticipated self titled debut ep. Their CD release event will be at End of an Ear this Saturday night at 6pm. Come for the free beer, stay for the music. The Paper South will then be celebrating their release with a second show the following Wednesday at Emo's.
Comprised of three parts ex-Winslow and one part ex-Amanset, The Paper South came onto the scene only late last year and already have a very loyal following. Their refreshing indie-pop sound has a bright catchiness that has kept them in our rotation since we downloaded the pre-release tracks. Keep an eye on their other site for upcoming shows, including a show at SXSW.

If these guys have even half the power of Winslow (and from the sound of those mp3s, they do and then some), they are more than worth checking out.
[disclosure: I happen to be friends with most of the band, but as they know, I am brutely honest. You'll just have to take my word for it.]
wow, so they're just giving away the entire EP in mp3 format!? that's freakin awesome. i've been waiting forever to see these guys and will probably check out both upcoming shows. thanks for the info.
Yep. I beleive that they're working on a creative commons license for the music but didn't want that to hold up the release. Download away.
