Austin Police are looking for the suspect pictured above who robbed the First State Bank at 12730 Research Blvd. this morning. The suspect entered the bank around 9:35am and demanded money from a teller. He left on foot shortly thereafter.
[Statesman] The suspect is described as a white male, 50 to 55 years old, with a thin build, blue eyes and a weathered complexion, between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a gray or blue knit ski cap, gray sweatpants and green trench coat.
Anyone with information about the suspect or incident is asked to call the robbery tip line at 974-5092 or CrimeStoppers at 472-8477. CrimeStoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information. This is the fourth Austin bank robbery in 2006.
Well, it's been about a month since our last bank robbery here in River City, so we guess we shouldn't be too surprised. But, seriously, Austin, WTF?
