"Set Up Shop at the Top of Four Seasons"
When we visit foreign ports of call we usually crash wherever we can - friends' couches, friends' floors, friends' kitchen tables, etc. But we have had the good fortune of staying at a Four Seasons or two, and we have always thought that ours here in Austin is, how do we say this nicely, pretty lame, at least by Four Seasons' standards. (Don't hate us because we're pretentious beautiful.) The service is top-notch, the food is great, but the ammenities? Meh.
Well the Statesman is reporting that all that may soon be changing. Lodging Capital Partners LLC of Chicago has purchased the Four Seasons here and is planning on adding a full-service spa, redesigning the restaurant and luxurifying the rooms. Rooms which we will never see the inside of. The upgrades should be complete by SXSW 2008. So make your reservations now.
