Making Fun Of Sex Ed (For A Very Good Cause)

Owen Egerton takes a crack (for the second hilarious time) at goofy sex ed films from the 40's - 70's. It's called "The Best of Sex Ed" and it happens tonight at 9:45 at the Alamo Downtown. Spend a couple of hours getting your jollies, and perhaps learning some important information. Like how premarital sex could lead to insanity. But you already knew that.

We remember our own sex ed class in grade school, circa 1980's. It was science class and Marlo Thomas was host to the explanation of uteri and erections. We learned that Marlo Thomas enjoyed having sex with her husband, Phil Donahue, while menstruation. TMI, Marlo! TMI.

The best thing about the "Sex Ed" show is that it's guarenteed entertainment while supporting a good cause: proceeds benefit the Ashera Project, a local nonprofit which "aims to strengthen communities through youth by providing long-term, comprehensive teen pregnancy prevention and youth development programming in high schools".

  • I still remember sitting in the art room and watching an animated film on STDs hosted by "Herpie."
