Digging In The Dirt

Do you ever “forget” to pick up the little “presents” your dog deposits while you walk him along the Shoal Creek Greenbelt? Have you been known to lose sleep worrying that karmic justice will someday cause you to fall face-first into a steaming heap of someone else’s dog’s poop because of your own misdeeds? Well, stop worrying, grab your gardening gloves, and come redeem yourself this Saturday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The Austin Parks Foundation is seeking volunteers to help plant trees and generally spruce up the Shoal Creek Greenbelt. They need folks for all kinds of jobs – everything from hauling brush and digging up bulbs to planting trees and spreading mulch. C’mon – it’ll be fun!

The Austin Parks Foundation will supply water, snacks, tools, instruction, and supervision - all you need to do is show up and get to work. Click here for more information on the Shoal Creek project and other volunteer opportunities with Austin Parks Foundation. Dig it?
