there is a florist behind my apartment that apparently is rented out as a rehearsal space upstairs, as i always hear bands there, not sure of the acoustics (probably crap) or the price (probably cheap) or the hours (hopefully not too late). But, it is on Barton Springs right next to Sandy's.

the rehearsal studios on san jacinto between 4th and 5th (next to the alley) are pretty much gone too. structural failures and tons of water/smoke damage. part of the ceiling in our space collapsed. fun stuff.

we got lucky, only lost a keyboard and a shitty amp. know of any good, cheap practice spaces?

The entire building between the KOOP studio space and the Copper Tank is gone.

The back wall of the Copper Tank that ran up against the nightclub (Eternal or something? It used to be Voodoo Lounge years ago) that burned down is gone/damaged. You can see through the front doors of the Copper Tank space and see sunlight out the back.

The east end of the KOOP building (the area that was burned last month too) looks like it took a lot of damage.

Firefighters and band members were loading amps, guitars, etc out of the San Jacinto KOOP area doors about an hour ago. It looks pretty gutted from the 5th street area.
