Continuing with rats...a DeLay report.

It could be argued that money led DeLay to the top of the republican heap, but it seems that money, or the lack thereof, will bring him down in end. DeLay's leadership PAC, Americans for a Republican Political Majority, is in debt. His legal fund is also in trouble with less-than-sufficient amounts to cover the legal expenses that continue to mount.
We're also happy to report that he is not favored to win his re-election bid for the Texas Congressional District 22 seat. Current polls show that 52% of the people surveyed would vote against him. Did we forget to mention that he is also having a hard time raising money for this campaign? Can you imagine DeLay being replaced by Democratic challenger Nick Lampson? Can you imagine Austinist without its favorite punching bag?
In other news, did you flood the offices of Tom Craddick and David Dewhurst with phone calls?
