Coach February Delivers Again On Signing Day

If you're a UT fan, you probably haven't gotten much done today. For the uninitiated, February 1 marks the first day that college football squads can accept signed letters of commitment from their top recruits. The events of today usually resonate two to three years down the line as the players mature and become starters for their chosen team.

So with that said, it looks good so far for the Longhorns. Mack Brown may indeed bring in another Top 5 recruiting class by this evening. Rivals.com currently ranks UT at #6 nationally, and SI.com has them all the way up at #3. This evening's decision by national Top 20 recruit safety Jonas Mouton may improve them even more (update: Mouton went with Michigan rather than Texas).

The undisputed stars of this year's class are linebacker Sergio Kindle and defensive end Eddie Jones, which should solidify the Horns defense in two key positions for years to come. Quarterback Jevan Snead is also highly touted and is another great signing for the post-Vince Young era. Almost all of the recruits are from Texas, as UT's focus has been to recuit the best local talent rather than fighting with regional loyalties elsewhere. Fans, what do you think of this year's recruits?
