Booze and Books (Celebrate the 25th Birthday of the Writers' League of Texas)

We love writers and we love alcohol. And we love Texas. Therefore, you could probably deduce that we love the Writers' League of Texas, as well. You would be right. That is why we will be celebrating their 25th Birthday with them this Sunday at Stubb’s.

The Writers' League promotes literacy and elevates the literary arts, one group of the arts that we feel does not get the attention or funding it deserves. So we will be at Stubb’s with our $10 suggested donation in hand, ready to enjoy “heavy appetizers” (which we hope is something like “heavy petting”), beer from Independence Brewery and music from the Chevelles.
