Before the Break Returns With What Made Milwaukee Famous

Laurie Gallardo, KUT's resident music podcaster extraordinaire and one of our favorite personalities in town, is back with another episode of Before the Break, the show that led the Austin Chronicle to dub her one our city's "Sultry New Deejays" in last year's Best of Austin polls. This time she's chatting with What Made Milwaukee Famous:
Eklektikos host John Aielli described them as a group immersed within a collection of “intriguing musical palettes.” While true, that only scratches the surface of the talent behind What Made Milwaukee Famous. Their melodies are consistently impressive, clever and highly contagious. The vocals are fantastic especially during live performances. Each of the band’s members comes from a variety of multiple musical influences. It’s little wonder that a chance meeting with Austin City Limits producer Terry Lickona eventually led to a last-minute invitation to do a taping for the television show. The key is to see What Made Milwaukee Famous live to experience their energy and uniqueness.
