It looks like another associate of DeLay is beginning his fall from grace. Travis County prosecutors subpoenaed records from Robert G. Mills, who once led a nonprofit group that received millions from clients of former lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

In 1999, Mills claimed ownership of a Capitol Hill townhouse and filed a permit to run a home-based consulting business. This townhouse became the headquarters for many DeLay-related operations and was dubbed the "Safe House" by DeLay's staffers.

The subpoena is seeking any communications relating to Mills' work with Abramoff and DeLay. Also, the "Safe House" was closed in April of 2000 due to violating restrictions against operating businesses in a residence.
