Ist-ing Their Way Down the Red Carpet

It is times like these we are proud to be an Ist. The 2006 Bloggie finalists have been announced, and Torontoist (Best Canadian Weblog), Londonist (Best British or Irish Weblog), and Gothamist (Best Topical and Best Group Weblog) have all made the cut. The winners will be announced at our very own SXSW Interactive Festival. So check out the other nominees and cast your votes for our dear sister sites. We are hoping that if they win we’ll be invited to celebrate at some swank after-party, replete with fountains of Red Stripe and designer iPod cases. We can only imagine the debauchery that ensues and the pictures that end up on Flickr when bloggers get freaky.
