I Want My CW-teevee?

It just doesn't have the same ring to it, does it? A huge (and somewhat surprising) announcement was made today by Warner Brothers and CBS Corp: UPN and WB will be gone for-evah in the fall. Why, you may ask? These two mega-corps are forming a new fifth channel, CW, wherein Veronica Mars, Gilmore Girls, WWF Smackdown, Everybody Hates Chris and Smallville will live in harmony. Are you having a hard time imagining this? Because we sure are! Currently the WB and UPN have different viewing populations, and we can't picture how they will converge. We also wonder how the Austin stations will deal with it. Currently you can only pick UPN from the Fredericksburg affiliate, while KNVA carries WB shows. Perhaps KNVA will take over CW? All we know is we will have to watch this new channel to get our Gilmore Girls fix (and when we remember to catch Everybody Hates Chris).
