*UPDATE: The Amber Alert has been called off after Ms. Olvera called police and informed them she would be coming in to talk to them about the incident. Good for you, Jessica. There has been no confirmation of the rumor that Jessica was at Planet K.*

An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing Cedar Park sixteen year-old, Jessica Olvera. Her ex-boyfriend Daniel Andrade Jr. is thought to have abducted her around 9:30pm last night. From KEYE:

Family members said Olvera was taking out the trash when Andrade grabbed her. Olivera's brother saw him driving away in a gray 1993 Chevy Caprice, with Texas license plate number L26 NYC. The car was last seen in the Buttercup Creek subdivision at approx. 10 p.m. Olvera was last seen wearing a black DKNY shirt, black sweatpants and black flip-flops.

Police said family members say Andrade has made threats to harm Jessica and himself, and has been known to carry a weapon.

On Sunday night Andrade reportedly abducted Olvera, but dropped her off a short time later at a local grocery store, unharmed. It was after this incident that Olvera told family members that Andrade had threatened to kill her and then kill himself. Police were looking for Andrade at the time of Monday night’s abduction.

Andrade has a long criminal history including arrests for domestic assault, evading arrest, and drug possession.

If you have any information on this ongoing case, call 911.

IS HOMIE IN THE BACK SMOKING A SPLIF?

i'm sorry, but that picture doesn't speak very well of jessica. posing dirtily in what looks to be a bra in bed with two dudes, one of which is probably smoking a joint. hmmm.. i guess i should be more sensitive.

sad story. yes, jub, that's a spliff. the original photo on statesman.com is very vivid re: said, oddly so

heh nice update, elizabeth

Hmm - I can't take credit for that update (Someone else wrote it). It is funny, though.

What a strange story - I wonder what happened.

it was I.
not sutre what happened. guess she heard of the alert and her conscience was like, "you can't be the target of a statewide manhunt. call the police" good for her
