Farewell, Dale?

Perennial Continental Club staple Dale Watson is calling it quits after this month. According to an interview with the Chronicle's Darcie Stevens, he'll be moving in January to Baltimore (which is almost as exciting at Austin, if you have a particularly vivid imagination) to be with his daughters. We're sure he'll be back eventually, but here are his remaining show dates for the year:

Tonight, December 23rd:
Dale Watson at the Broken Spoke

Sunday, December 25th:
Dale Watson's Annual Christmas Dance at the Continental Club (10pm)

Monday, December 26th:
Dale Watson and his Lone Stars at the Continental Club (9pm)

Friday, December 30th:
Dale Watson's Farewell Bash at the Continental Club (Midnight)

But fret not if you miss him this time around; Mister Watson's already confirmed two gigs at the Broken Spoke in March and May of 2006.
