Those of you thinking about setting off a fireworks display in your frontyard come New Years might want to reconsider - much of the state is under a burn ban, according to the Texas Interagency Coordination Center (TICC). Travis County also has the unlucky distinction of being one of the 86 counties to restrict amateur aerial fireworks. News8 reports that errant fireworks caused last year's destruction of the Austin Lumber Company, which resulted in over $1 million in damages and the displacement of nearby residents.
