A Preemptive Strike Against the Holiday Heavies

jinglebell-icon.jpg

Right around this time every year, we find ourselves slowing down, bundling up and generally restricting our movement as much as possible. But as comfortable as this may be, it's absolute hell on our running regimen. And so, this weekend, we're planning on setting a new precedent for 2006 by taking part in the Jingle Bell 5K at Auditorium Shores. Now twenty years in the running, the JB5K is a relaxing, enjoyable race around downtown that peaks at the capitol building before heading back south of Town Lake

madd.JPG The race benefits Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), a particularly worthy cause right around this time of the year.

NOTE: Packet pick-up at Riverside location of RunTex, available on Race Day starting at 7:30am. You may also pick up your packet on Friday, December 16 from 10 am - 7 pm Or Saturday, Dec 17 from 9 am- 7 pm at the Runtex Riverside location.
