Bon Voyage, Mister Daniel?

Is Spoon's lead singer leaving us for fairer shores? Pitchfork yesterday reported that Britt Daniel is packing up his stuff and heading over to Portland, Oregon. Daniel wouldn't elaborate as to the impetus of the relocation, other than to say:

"My girlfriend lives up here, and I kept visiting and was like, 'Ahh, that's it, I'm going to move.' I knew I liked it before I moved here, but I'm finding more and more reasons why this city is amazing. I haven't moved my stuff but I've been staying here whenever I'm off tour. I've got a couple coats and guitars up here."

Spoon finishes up a massively successful year with next Monday's Habitat for Humanity benefit show at the Parish Room, alongisde stellastarr* and others.
