It's Awards Season Again: Golden Globe Nominations

cropggteri.jpg

For what it's worth, the Golden Globe nominations were announced this morning. We like watching the Golden Globes; they are so laid-back and relaxed in comparison to the pretentious Academy Awards. Of course, they don't always choose the same winners . . . Babe won the Golden Globe for best musical/comedy the year it was nominated, after all. And while Jennifer Garner has won a Golden Globe, she has yet to win an Emmy (and isn't even nominated for a Golden Globe for this season).

Notable GG noms:
- Favorite Texan Larry McMurtry is nominated along with Diana Ossana for their Brokeback Mountain screenplay.
- Kung Fu Hustle is up for Best Foreign Film.
- "Everybody Hates Chris" is up for best Television Comedy.
- Another Texan, Eva Longoria, is up for Best Actress in a Television Comedy for "Desperate Housewives".
- Felicity Huffman is nominated in two categories: for her work on Transamerica and "Desperate Housewives". We love her.

What do you think about the nominations?

All of this behavior one can easily trace to his father, played with gut-wrenching beauty and pain by Daniels. (This masterful performance may get overlooked by Mr. Oscar, but we imagine Mr. Golden Globe – whoever that is – will take notice.)

ok, i am a sad, sad man.

    that is all
