It's easy. If you can quantify it, it's "fewer". Fewer apples. If it's not quantifiable, it's "less". Less water. That's why the fast check out lanes at HEB are fucking rad. I hope somebody is making one of those cool, stop-motion movies during this, uh landmark deconstruction.
