What are you doing On Thursday? What about this weekend? No seriously, what is going on in your little world? Could you manage to squeeze a little culture in there somewhere?

The Creative Research Laboratory of the Department of Art and Art History at UT is hosting Heydays(again) on Thursday, December 8th and again on December 10th. The December 8th date, beginning at 8pm, features performance art by some of the transmedia (photography, film, video, computer art) students. The themes of this particular exhibit will be age, gender, race, space age and apparently "everything else [we're] afraid to ask". Since we're still scared to talk about sex, we're expecting some sexy, sexy performances.

On the 10th, the CRL is again hosting an exhibit called Drawing Across Disciplines (from 10am to 10pm). If you've ever picked up a pencil and attempted to draw a person beyond a stick figure (we're not sure we really fall into that category) you must go see this! The students were posed with the challenge of examining the act of drawing and participated in a 24 hour "drawing marathon", producing probably some of the most amazing collaborative art you'll see!

Creative Research Laboratory is located at 2832 East Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard inside Flatbed World Headquarters. These are FREE events. They are open to the public. There is parking. It's on a bus route. You could even dust off that bike of yours and pedal over! Your mom would be so proud!
