Ms. Maureen Odam Dowd on KLRU Monday Morning

In case you have not paid close attention, we like Maureen Dowd. Quite a bit. A few weeks ago we were fortunate enough to be in the studio audience at KLRU for a taping of Texas Monthly Talks. The program has a new format that includes a live studio audience. We arrived a little early and were fortunate enough to show Ms. Dowd to the studio and get a few minutes of alone time with her. NO we didn’t ask her to marry us or ask for her Myspace username. But we did flirt. Feebly. (Although she did give us a cute moniker we won’t share here.)
Evan Smith spoke with Dowd for 27 minutes in front of a studio audience of about 150 people. As always Dowd was charming, engaging, witty and mildly vitriolic. Check her out on KLRU-P Monday morning at 10:30am. (Show will also be aired Dec. 21st. Check local listings.)
Discussed: Judith Miller. Bob Woodward. NYTimes Select. Her new book. Paul Krugman & Dancing with the Stars. The “Dark” and “Light” Fathers of George W. Bush. Men as comic relief and a diversion. A lot of women discovering their inner-sluts. Botox. Clinton. Hillary vs. Condi in ’08. Her faith in the public. Her mother.
