(International) Noise Conspiracy, All Over Town

Swedish musicians are all the rage these days, with acts like Jens Lekman and Shout Out Louds (among several others) having performed shows recently around town. Today the kids of (International) Noise Conspiracy are in Austin, and it looks like "rock's most politically radical band" is making the most of their time here.

At 12:30pm (which is coming up shortly, so you'd best hurry), they're playing at UT's East Campus for the "Rally to End the Occupations," a reference to Iraq and the hotly-contested Gaza Strip. They're covering all the bases, it seems. Also at the rally will be a keynote address by Israeli Major Stav Adivi, a "board member of Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD) in Israel and one of the highest ranking officers among the 620 soldiers in the Israeli Defense Forces to refuse to serve in the Occupied Territories." Then, at 4pm, INC's heading over to FactoryPeople to kick off First Thursday festivities with a DJ set. FP's giving away a copy of their Rick Rubin produced "Armed Love," plus two tickets to their show later in the evening. We advise you to stick around the upstairs balcony, as Mayor Will Wynn will be performing the annual Lighting of South Congress Christmas Lights sometime after dusk. Lastly, INC will be playing their proper show at Emo's with Danko Jones and Nightmare of You at around 10pm.
