Hey, Independence Brewery, Gimme One of Them Good Jasperillas

stranger banner.jpg

The good folks over at the delicious Independence Brewery have come out with their very first seasonal brew: Jasperilla Old Ale. The ale, which carries a slight citrus note balanced by a smooth hop finish, is named after the brewery’s dog, Jasper. The new brew will be perfect to drink out on the porch on the cool nights ahead. We can’t wait. And if you want to get a taste of the Jasperilla, you should head on down for the Repeal of Prohibition Brewery Tour this Saturday. Celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition at Independence Brewery with a tour featuring info about Prohibition-era brewing. As an added treat, they will also be offering samples of the Jasperilla Old Ale along with their other fine offerings during the tour. And in other great news, you can now get Independence six-packs at Whole Foods Downtown and Central Market Westgate (starting Friday).
