david sedaris the performer: a+
the writer: quite overrated
Bah! I couldn't disagree more, Odam. Perhaps you've only read his books (not his best), rather than his shorter works (always excellent)...??
Jooley reading the New Yorker in bed at night & laughing until she cries & wakes up her husband = David Sedaris, *invariably*.
(Jooley reading the New Yorker in bed at night & pestering her husband with incessant "Did you know?"s = Malcolm Gladwell, also invariably.)
swords at noon.
So there's been a problem with the cover/disc giveaway at Momo's. Unfortunately, Momo's isn't down with that (it'd create a great deal of confusion at the door and shaft the folks who are skeptical about paying the $12 at the door and so pay $7 and then are won over post-show resulting in a big fat $17 price tag for our new friends) so the cover's $10 and the CD is another $10. Lame, I know but we've NEVER charged this much for a show and desperately need to make back at least some of the album costs--yeah, we paid for it ourselves. We sincerely hope our fans understand and still come out to support us Friday. It really is worth it. I promise.
