For the dorks young at heart

Unless you're a total nerd and bought tickets three weeks ago (like we did), you're probably not attending one of the the midnight showings of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire at the Alamo Drafthouse tonight. In which case, you're probably not going to be participating in Harry Potter trivia before the show (we know all the answers, sadly), nor are you going to partake in a delicious Hogwarts feast. Although admittedly, the taste of butterbeer is best left to the imagination.

We'll have a review of the film and the Drafthouse festivities, which are always top-notch, tomorrow.

Now, on to the point of this post. If you're a children's literature fan, and you love when children's literature is translated to the big screen, you've got one more chance to let the Alamo Drafthouse show you a good time. And this one's going to be a doozy. Get yer tickets NOW for the release of The Chronicles of Narnia, which opens everywhere on December 9th. In keeping with their creative themed events, the Alamo will be recreating Narnia, complete with a giant wardrobe to walk through, winter coats, snow, pine trees, and the famous lightpost from the film. And it just wouldn't be the Alamo without a Narnia feast. Turkish Delight, anyone?

These events will definitely sell out fast. Aslan says buy your tickets today!

  • The new Harry Potter movie is also showing at midnight at the Galaxy Highland, and there are still tickets available for that. No butterbeer there, though.
