Flicker (our favorite local film screening series) is taking over the Alamo Drafthouse tonight at 9:45pm. Showcasing a multifarious assortment of short films four times a year, Flicker provides a easy way for aspiring local filmmakers to see their work on the big screen.

Audience members will be eligible to win a roll Super 8 so they can create something to submit. The audience will also get to vote for their favorite films, which will be included in this Best of Flicker, Volume 2 compilation DVD.

This month's program includes films by attending local filmmakers: Tom Barndt, Andy Gately, Aaron Marshall, Iskra Valtcheva.

Pre-show and intermission entertainment will be provided by the Household Names.

For anyone interested in submitting their work for the next session, here is some information from the Flicker website:

1. Originate on film 2. Be under 15 minutes in length.

We can screen the following formats: Super 8 prints, 16mm prints, 35mm prints & VHS/DVD transfers.
