Derail this: New movie releases!

Okay, there are a couple of new films we’d be willing to see this week, but honestly we’re too busy geeking out over next week’s release of Harry Potter IV. One thing we should mention: Eminem's 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’, a film about his life leading up to his huge success as a rap artist, was released on Wednesday. But if you’re anything like us, you probably don’t care.

To sum up: Jumanji in outer space. Thankfully, Robin Williams is nowhere in sight.
*Derailed
Can you handle the heat of Clive and Jen’s hotness? We’re definitely gonna try, but excuse us if we drool excessively.
Pride and Prejudice
Much like Dickens, Austen’s novels tend to get a little worn out from all the remaking. At least Keira’s not trying to pass herself off as a bounty hunter, although that kind of plot twist might make Jane Austen more bearable. And we’re sorry, but only Colin Firth could ever be Mr. Darcy in our minds.
*Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang Austinist review and Director Q&A
Could this be Val Kilmer’s comeback? He and Robert Downey, Jr. have great comedic chemistry in this flick that’s been described as “Get Shorty, only loonier.”
Where the Truth Lies
Speaking of Colin Firth, he’s in this one. So is Kevin Bacon. According to reviews, it sucks anyway.
*Austinist recommends. We also recommend these first runs: Jarhead, The Squid and the Whale, Shopgirl, In Her Shoes, Proof, Good Night, and Good Luck, Capote
