Tamales for a good cause

Here it is, not even Thanksgiving yet, and we are already looking forward to holiday tamales. Okay, honestly, we aren't very big tamale fans, but you might be. If you are, consider buying some from Manos de Cristo. This local non-profit serves 18,000 Austinites a year. The proceeds from the tamale sale support educational programs, a food pantry, clothes closet, and Austin's only low-cost dental clinic for the working poor. Orders will be taken until December 5th, so you have plenty of time to decide which kind you prefer: bean, chicken, pork or jalapeno.
