For those of you who shelled out the big bucks to go see David Gray Thursday at The Backyard, we have some bad news. Due to laryngitis and an upper respiratory infection, Gray has cancelled his remaining US Tour Dates. Check his website to find out about rescheduling for the show in early 2006. Tickets for this week’s show will be honored for the rescheduled show. Below is a press release from his site

Salt Lake City, UT, October 29—David Gray regretfully postpones the remaining dates of his fall U.S. tour schedule. Gray is suffering with laryngitis and an upper respiratory condition that began late last week. Postponing dates earlier this week, Gray hoped his condition would improve for the remaining leg of the tour. This past Friday while in Los Angeles Gray posted a letter on his website (davidgray.com) sympathizing with fans, “I apologize wholeheartedly to anyone who has bought tickets and been disappointed. It is a disappointment that I share. With luck everything will right itself, and things will be back on track next week.” Today Gray learned he cannot perform as planned and the remaining dates will be rescheduled.

  • whoa! I wonder if Jolie Holland will be doing a solo show then. She's the one I wanted to see, but I didn't want to pay $45 to see her play a short set before David Gray..
