Buford Tower

The Buford Tower, located at 200 W. Cesar Chavez, was named after Captain James L. Buford, an Austin fireman who died in the line of duty in 1972 while attempting a rescue. Once a drill tower for the fire department, now the tower rings out chimes throughout the day.
