A Frightful Evening with Owen Egerton and Michael Myers

The Sinus Show's Owen Egerton has cooked up something special for Halloween evening, Austinites. He will be presenting one of his favorite scary movies, Halloween 4 (yes, 4, you read that right), for horror fans, those without a party to attend, and, well, Owen Egerton fans. While he won't be mocking the film, he will be sharing fun facts and presenting the film--with drafthouse decorating included.

Mr. Egerton has this to say about the impending doom:
Outside of the classic original this is without a doubt the finest of the Halloween films. And in some ways (dare I say it... I do dare) it improves on the original. There's more screen time given to the rantings of Donald Pleasance (he is sooo good in this), more pure action, a wilder ending and more outright fun. Halloween 4 is the ultimate 80's horror sequel! It's been ten years since Michael Myers terrorized the people of Haddonfield. Now he's coming home. The ragged and slightly mad Dr. Loomis is in hot pursuit. Expect a sassy heroine, an innocent child, drunk vigilante yokels (they rock), and, of course, evil incarnate.

Sounds good to us. We'll meet you there. Buy us a beer, will ya?

And P.S. Austinist readers, what is your favorite scary movie? We vote for Pulse--one of those freaky Japanese horror flicks that doesn't make much sense, but disturbs our psyche nonetheless.
